Oh, you guys. I feel like I've been a bad blogger this last week or so - I have been taking plenty of pictures and have plenty to tell you about, but my evenings have just been slipping by - and before I know it, it's time for bed.
Despite this strange evening time warp, I finally managed to finish my Acer cardigan - it's blocking as I type this and I can't wait to wear it. I probably won't ever take it off. I hadn't ever set in sleeves before - and while seams won't deter me from making another cardigan, I have decided that I prefer seamless patterns overall. Next I'll be casting on for a few gifts - most of which will have to be shrouded in secrecy for awhile. But it doesn't mean I can't show you the yarn I'll be using!
I'm still reading Unbroken, but I'm almost done and expect to have finished it by next week. It's the kind of book that occupies your mind even when you're not reading it - and I think it's so powerful because it provides such perspective on life and humanity and what we are capable of enduring. It's so humbling to read about what this man has survived/accomplished - it makes you want to get out there to do stuff and appreciate life - and never complain about anything. Ever again.
Happy Wednesday, friends. And happy knitting.
