-:- belated weekend scenes

Side note: Oh my goodness - I had this post completely drafted last Tuesday night and then it just slipped under the radar after our Thanksgiving guests arrived! It's a bit belated, and I have a million other things to tell you about, but it didn't seem right not to post this after I put it all together! I will be back to my regular posting this week and I hope all of you are doing well!

I'm afraid it's going to be relatively quiet around these parts for the next few days.
We have been busy preparing for the upcoming holiday weekend and will shortly be busy with enjoying the holiday itself. Siblings and a nephew are on their way here as I type and we are so happy and so grateful to spend our first Thanksgiving in our new home with them.

Last weekend we spent our time laundering, cleaning, and food shopping for our Thanksgiving meal. We also made a resolution to end each day with a cup of calming tea and a game or two of yahtzee -and then wondered how we went so long without doing those things every night.

And I did manage to finish the little crib quilt I was working on - just in time to give it to our little nephew. My binding still needs work, but I'm sure it'll get better with each quilt I make.

I'll be back around these parts early next week - I hope that those of you who are celebrating Thanksgiving this week have a wonderful holiday - and I wish everyone else a wonderful week/weekend as well!

  1. Very nice quilt. The little man will love it! I just bought some fabric to try my hand at one for my daughter. We'll see how long it takes me to complete it.

  4. Oh Yahtzee is one of my favourite games. So much so that sometimes I just play by myself. :)

The quilt is lovely. What a beautiful gift to receive from a loving aunt. Lucky boy. xo
