-:- in which it is proven that two cats live here

Claude has always been difficult to photograph. He's a really skittish guy and I think having the camera pointed at him makes him a little nervous. And since I'm not inclined to chase after an unwilling cat for a photograph, let alone deal with the lighting issues that come with under-the-bed photography, Claude hasn't made much of an appearance on the blog these last few months. I wouldn't blame you if you didn't believe he exists.

Lately, though, he's been showing up more and more downstairs. He loves hanging out in front of the heater vents (we don't have any of those in the upstairs part of our home) and is learning that he's actually a lot tougher than Lou (who happens to have three fresh scratch wounds on his chin from a Claude encounter this morning).

So consider this Claude's reintroduction to the world - while he probably won't be a regular around here, hopefully you'll be seeing him a little more frequently than you have these past few months!

  1. My Winston has a box in front of the heater vent in the dining room. Brickman has a box in front of the vent that is under the crib. Winston thinks both boxes are hers!

  3. Our Simon is beyond skittish. You could visit for 8 hours and NEVER see him (in our 840 square foot house). So, I totally hear you. Hi, Claude. Nice to see you out and about. xo

  6. I enjoy seeing animal's personalities. Frodo will willingly follow anyone with a camera until you aim to shoot then he either runs or sneezes.

  7. They are fabulous and totally adorable. I'd love another cat, but I'm not too sure our young black cat would allow it.
